Yay, we have chosen!!!

Well we have finally made up our minds and have signed with a builder. We have chosen to build the Parkwood with modifcations with Premier Builders. We have changed the design a little to make it a little bigger. We have added an activity space between bed 2 and 3 and extended it out a little. We added an alfresco and increased the ceiling height.

Now it's just a matter of choosing all our colours and waiting for the title to come out.

We also went past the land today and they have sold another 6 blocks which is awesome. No roads yet but the grass is cut ready to go. Fingers crossed it all runs to time.

Possible house design

This is a design that we are considering at the moment. It is a Rivergum Constructions design and is exactly what we are looking for. We have a meeting with them tomorrow night so hopefully they are the ones because we just want to decide.

Also the Federal Government has released a statement about new home bulders grants of $21000 so hopefully we get it. With the State Government grant as well it will be such a help.

The story so far!!!

After many hours of searching for a builder we still have many choices to make. We have our land which is expected to title in April-May 2009, so we have some time up our sleeve to make the right decision. Who would have thought it would take up so much time and energy just choosing the builder we want?
We spoke to our conveyencer today and it seems that everything is progressing on time. Hopefully the roads will start being built within the next couple of weeks and from there we hope that everything else will flow. I'm sure once we start to see some progress being made on our land the excitement will kick in. We will remain positive but realistic throughout the whole process. That's what we keep telling ourselves anyway!
We are definitely over the big building companies who promise us the world but don't seem to follow through or really tell you all the information until you ask and ask and ask.
Every time we find a new builder they seem good so once we've got all our info together we can sit down and make a decision. Hopefully this happens in the next few weeks!!!
