No photos yet but things are coming along nicely at the estate. Roads, lights, crossovers and gutters are in. We are now just waiting on the traffic lights to be done. This apparently will take quite some time, but we're so used to waiting what's another couple of months.
We had a bit of a problem just before we signed our building contract. The guy that was going to build our house now can't because his wife is unwell, so we now have a different group of people building it, still within the Premier Builders Group. All's good but we just had to make a few changes to colour selection.
We got our valuation back from the bank yesterday and the land and house is valued at $372,000 which is way more than we are paying, which is great. It makes it even better that we haven't even got our land titled, let alone the house built and it's already worth more than we are paying. So that's good news.
Will update again once we get closer to building.

There is (more) movement at the station...
We went down to The Avenue on the weekend and things are progressing nicely. They have started the roads in some sections and curbing will be going in soon. They are still talking December which is good. We have asked to have our crossover changed to the left side because it would be virtually impossible to have it on the other side because of our block shape.
We also were given the new planning permits from the council where they have put set backs back to 5.5 meters which is quite a lot, again because of the irregular shape of our block. This has meant we have had to go back to Premier and change our plans again. They have been fantastic about it all which has made the whole process no nearly as stressful as it could have been.
I have posted some more photos of the land and how it is looking now. You can't get very close so they are a little difficult to see, but you can tell there is progress.

There's hope- well maybe
Well there has been lots of action down at the paddock. We will be going down there this weekend to take some more photos as it is really progressing. We have heard that the titles may be out a little earlier than expected (December), but we are not getting our hopes up, because we've heard it before. As long as we can get our slab down within 26 weeks of signing our building contract on September 30th we will be happy. Will put some photos up soon.
I have attached a revised copy of our plan, but we will get the final plan in the next two weeks. YAY!!!!

Land delayed AGAIN!!!!!!
Bad news unfortunately. Our land title date has been pushed back again until next January / February which we are absolutely devastated about. We were planning on living in our new house by then. The worst part is we've been told so many different dates and have heard time and time again this is the definite date. I know that things happen and delays occur but we just want our own house.
Will be going in to the estate to fins out what the problem is but we just don't trust what they say anymore. They've sold 4 releases so have a lot of our money sitting in the bank.
The builders have been great but we will now have to start paying money because we went over expected title date. Ahhhh.

Land delay.
Well not too much to report on other then the fact land title has been put back another month. Boo it is now looking like August / September which means that we will be paying a fee to the builder for going over the start date, but it is still less then what the house price currently is.
We have also done all our colour selections we think. We went to the kitchen place and chose the cabinetry and bench tops. Also tiles are chosen. We changed our wall colour so still not sure if it's 'the one'.
That's about all to tell. wish it was more.

Action at last.
Good news!!! There is finally action down at the paddock.
After reading online that development had begun on our land, we headed down to have a look for ourselves. We were so nervous going over the hill, luckily though it has started (otherwise I think I would have cried)
They have cut the roads and title is still expected June/July which is good.
Here are some photos at the estate.

Colour Selection
Well we have done pretty much everything we can do before the land is titled, which is both frustrating and exciting. We are just waiting on the land to be developed. Originally we were told Jan/Feb then March/April and now June/July which I understand is very common for land developments but it is getting a bit rediculous.
We are stressing a little becuase we don't want to miss out on the first home buyers boost. We will sign our contract on June 30th and just hope the land is ready to go by the end of the year. If it is not we will be very angry because it will be almost a year late.
We have also received our drawings which are going to change slightly to accomodate a bigger retreat area.
