Waiting, waiting, waiting

We have at last been given a start date. By next Wednesday our site will be cut and then everything is full steam ahead.

Depite waiting so long at least we have been able to take our time choosing colours. We have chosen all exterior colour and most of the interior just need to see the kitchen company. Below are some of our colours.

Exterior colours are;

Bricks- Newport Austral

Roof tiles- Gunmetal

Gutters- Monument

Fascia- Shale Grey

Garage door- Monument

We have a fence.

Well after almost two long years our land is finally ours. On the 26th of March we had settlement and now we (or really the bank) owns a little piece of Australia.

We then expected things to get rolling with our builders, but things were a little slow at first. After a few phone calls and a meeting we are now two weeks off beginning.

In the meantime we have had our fences erected. We were lucky enough to have lovely new neighbours, who just happened to be a fencer. So after doing his own fence, neighbour kindly put ours up.

The estate is looking really great a real little community growing. We're insanely jealous of the many others who bought land well after us and have already got a slab, frame and roof, but good things come to those who wait (and as for us that has been a massive wait so there should be many awesome things to come for us).
